Sunday July 18th at 11:30 am, at the Caribou Boat Launch on Lower Lyndon Street Caribou. Hot dog, chips and soda/water. Your favorite salad or sweet is appreciated. LOBSTER RAFFLE TICKETS: 3/$5.00 1st Prize 25lbs Fresh lobster, 2nd prize $50.00 gas card, 3rd prize Gift Certificate at Dick's ATV Tire & Acces. Lagasse Connector Opens Today, posted on 6/5/2010
The Lagasse Connector Trail is offically opened as of today! The Patten St. Ramp is still temporarily closed pending a sight review by MMAR to put a crossing at the bottom of the ramp to travel straight down to Lower Lyndon St..Quiet Zone signs are posted in residential areas. Please travel at a reduced speed in this area. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact President Cathy Martin @ 227-8850

ATV riders are able to travel from Big Cheese Pizza to the US 1 overpass, down to Lower Lyndon by the WPS Energy sign, to the Lagasse/Duncan Bridge, to Water Street and Food Trend, to Broadway and Limestone Street intersection, and to Otter Brook Park & Ride Trailhead. The Patten Street Ramp is still temporarily closed pending a sight review by MMAR to put a crossing at the bottom of the ramp to travel straight down to Lower Lyndon Street. Ouiet Zone signs are posted in residential areas. PLEASE travel at a reduced speed in this area.

The Lagasse Connector Trail area that is temporarily closed has gotten an ok from Montreal Maine Atlantic Railway representative, Galen Nickerson, to put a new crossing by the WPS sign on Lower Lyndon Street. Work on this area is expected to be completed as soon as possible and the Lagasse/Duncan Bridge will be connected, as stated by Gary Marquis of Caribou Parks & Rec. Dept. ATV riders can travel from Big Cheese Pizza to the US 1 overpass, down to Lower Lyndon by the WPS sign, to the Lagasse/Duncan Bridge, to Water Street and Broadway and Limestone intersection to the Otter Brook Park & Ride Trailhead. Please be advised that the Lagasse Connector Trail area from the Patten Street Ramp to the Lagasse/Duncan Bridge crossing the Caribou Stream and the area to Big Cheese Pizza on South Main Street is TEMPORARILY CLOSED. Caribou ATV Club is currently working to open this area as soon as possible. An ATV Trails Advisory Meeting is scheduled for June 01, 2010 @ 6:00pm at the Caribou Parks & Recreation Department at 55 Bennett Drive to discuss how this area can be reopened. Please contact President Cathy Martin @ 227-8850 for more information.
